This foundation paper piecing pattern is inspired by a picture that I took of a docked ship in New York City. The shades of blue change where the ropes of the ship would be. This gives the feel of the ropes without having to sew together tiny pieces to represent the ropes. The blocks in the quilt are at a 20 degree angle, creating diagonal movement. Each block is sized to easily print on standard size printing paper. This pattern creates a 62"x92" quilt top. This pattern can be resized by changing the settings on your printer. Test this with a block that has small peices before deciding on the size.
